That is a nice van you picked up! I saw it when it was for sale. A good deal! In January I paid $1000 for a 65 Deluxe that is in the exact same condition (and color scheme) as yours! Looks very original.

I'd like to set up a photo forum for Sportvan Deluxe photos, documenting everything that is unique on the Deluxes. Mine still has the original paint (for now). It's interesting to see how crooked they masked off the two-tone paint lines. And I think only the Deluxes came with the vinyl interiors.

Keep the photos coming! I'll start posting again when I get back to San Diego and start working on it again. (I'm on vacation in Minnesota. Haven't seen one early up here in the rust belt...)

Thanx!! what all is featured differently on the deluxes, padded dash and vinyl panels, I think I am going to paint the white part and mirrors as well as try to freshen up the interior a bit as it has been sitting a long long time

Well, I've got to time my vacations to coincide with my local eVANgelist's vacations.

I've spent most of this "vacation" fixing things for the old women in my family! Here's a couple of shots taken while visiting departed family members at the cemeteries on Memorial Day weekend:
